When a filing has been rejected by the Secretary of State (SOS) office, you will be sent correspondence explaining the reason(s) for the rejection and how you can resubmit your corrected filing. Your filing may have been submitted directly to the SOS office (paper) or online. There is no fee charged for submitting a corrected filing unless you have received a full refund. In this case, you will be prompted to pay the original filing fee. This is a two-step process whereby the SOS will review your corrected filing and notify you as to its acceptance or rejection.
