The third step in recording a lien may be to enter debtor and secured party information, depending upon your jurisdiction’s implementation. The debtor represents the entity obligated to repay under the lien and the secured party has a security interest in that obligation. Debtors can be added, deleted, updated and copied to new (debtor information can be copied for another debtor).
